Hinduism and Buddhism in Asia
I am developing a project dedicated to Hinduism and Buddhism across Asia.
A work that traces places of faith, their history, their mythology, and the people who inhabit them, because Asia is the continent where the presence of the sacred is felt with the greatest intensity.
Temples, sacred dance, and the cultural contexts in which these traditions were born and transformed over time.
The first part focuses on Hinduism and follows the most significant places of this faith, in the nations where it has left deep and enduring traces.
The second part unfolds in the same way through Buddhism, observing its schools, its forms, and its interpretations.
The project arises from the idea that a thread exists, connecting all Asian populations.
A thread that time has concealed but not broken, a thread that continues to link diverse cultures in their uniqueness, in their differences, in their visions of the sacred.
Showing this thread through images and books means bringing Asian peoples closer, revealing what makes them different and at the same time part of a single shared tapestry.
